Hello
I never thought this day would come… but it’s here.
Today, I’m stepping forward to run for City Councillor in Wards 1 & 5.
Not as a politician — but as your neighbour.
I’ve lived in Brampton for over 38 years. I raised my children here, built my business here, and chose to stay here because I truly love this city and the people in it. Today, I live downtown by the GO station in wards 1 & 5 , and like many of you, I experience this city every single day — the good, the challenging, and the opportunities for something better.
Over the years, so many of you have shared your thoughts with me — about your businesses, your families, your streets, your hopes for Brampton. I’ve listened, I’ve learned, and I’ve stood alongside you.
I want to really start this campaign with my why.
My Why
Four years ago, I was on holidays and had just shut down my boutique store The Scented L'air, that was located on 29 Queen St E, downtown Brampton for one reason — the absolute chaos between the city and the region, and their inability to navigate a plan to help businesses manage construction. I survived COVID as a business owner. I had to close my airport location, but I kept going in Brampton.
I stood in front of council with a plan. I had received a federal grant to help the business community. I had a team ready to support businesses for free. All I needed was support to adjust by-laws and signage — but council wouldn’t move forward. So, I gave the money back to the federal government and moved my business.
That council meeting told me everything I needed to know.
So, I ran for City Councillor against Rowena Santos.
In just six weeks, I knocked on as many doors as I could. With the support of neighbours, and a lot of determination, we earned 13% of the vote. More importantly, we shifted the conversation and proved that people are ready for something different.
I learned a lot. I met incredible people. And I realized something I’ve always believed in — sometimes you must try, learn, and even fail to get it right.
Because at the end of the day… I don’t quit.
Over the past four years, I lost my home due to rising interest rates and now rent a condo. I’ve rebuilt my business and now provide training to medical support teams in long-term care. Like many others, I’ve faced personal hardship — but I chose to get back up, move forward, and grow stronger. This time, I’m entering the election with a solid foundation and a growing community behind me.
This campaign will be grassroots, positive, and focused on ideas — real ideas. Some you may agree with, some you may not, but all of them will come from a place of wanting better for our city.
I am still actively working and fully engaged in my business and community. I have a strong team supporting this journey, and over the next six months we will be out meeting residents, listening, and sharing ideas.
You’ll hear from me. And I hope to meet you. I will earn every vote by hard work.
This isn’t about politics — it’s about people.
If you’re in Wards 1 & 5 and want to be part of this journey, I’d love your support. Follow along as I share ideas, listen, and continue building something better — together.
Here we go Brampton, change is happening.
